Vesna Pisarovic - Petit Standard (2019)

Vesna Pisarović has been working on her Petit Standard project for five years, fine-tuning the program, the selection of songs and the line-up. Because it is a great artistic challenge, especially for the vocalist, to get by without a melody instrument. Vesna took up this challenge with flying colors. Her fellow musicians appear stable and confident, Joe Fonda on bass and, from the start, John Betsch on drumset. The album has just been recorded in Brussels. Gebhard Ullmann, who was in the city, was invited as a guest. His playing on tenor saxophone and bass clarinet was so inspiring that he now participated in most of the songs.
