Duke Weddington - Auburn Sky (2019)

Auburn Sky is a second acoustic anthology of Bluegrass and Celtic instrumentals written by Duke Weddington (Banjo), featuring the talents of Higher Ground Bluegrass (of which Duke is a member), HGB members include Fred Bolton (Rhythm Guitar), Pat Mahoney (Fiddle), Dave Devlin (Resophonic Guitar), and Laura Leach Devlin (Bass) providing the core music foundation for each of the songs with musical guests Bob Gray (Mandolin) and Ian Fleming (Lead Guitar). The album also features the talents of Char Rothschild (Uillean pipes, Whistle), Nikelle Gessner-Garcia (Fiddle), and Dain Forsythe (Bodhran) on the Celtic tunes. The bluegrass tunes range from songs with a traditional feel to progressive numbers such as Auburn Sky and High Rock. It's a musical journey!
