This LP from Creative World has the original version of Stan Kenton's theme song, "Artistry in Rhythm," his first hit "Eager Beaver," "Artistry Jumps" and eight of his most popular recordings from the 1946-47 period including "Intermission Riff," "Concerto to End All Concertos" and "The Peanut Vendor." This music is essential in one form or another and virtually all of it is available in the four-CD Kenton set Retrospective. These performances are still exciting a half-century later.
