The only album of the American jazz-rock band, released in 1970 in the US on "Paramount Records". The group was formed by Jerry Weiss, who was one of the founders of "Blood, Sweat & Tears", who played there on the trumpet and flugelhorne and left the band together with its other founder, El Cooper. It is interesting that in the "Ambergris" trumpeter Weiss turned into a bass player, and also played the piano. In addition, he was the main arranger of the group, and also wrote a good half of the album's songs (three on his own and two in co-authorship). On the cover of the plate is a real "cock called Jim from the farm of old MacDonald". On the envelope, the group carefully explained the meaning of the word Ambergris, without forgetting to indicate its transcription: "AMBERGRIS (n.) - rarely encountered, an opaque substance, usually floating on the surface of the ocean, is used in perfumery." Collins's dictionary defines more precisely: "A waxy substance consisting predominantly of cholesterol secreted by the intestinal tract of the sperm whale and commonly found on the surface of the ocean. Used in the manufacture of perfumes.
