In the distant 1968, two inseparable friends - Duke D'Anastasio and Tony Papa (who played along with his brother Tom D'Anastasio in the school band "Nickels n Dimes"), attended a concert by a visiting band. By the way, this group was "Blood, Sweat & Tears" with their new lead singer David Clayton Thomas. After attending the concert, the friends were so impressed with the music performed by BS & T that they decided to organize their own band and play in the same style. Six months later, a vocal-instrumental ensemble appeared with the pretentious title "Dirty Martha's Music Company", however, later the name was shortened to "Dirty Martha". The musicians registered for "MSI Recording Studios", where, along with covers, began to compose their own material. "Dirty Martha" performed quite extensively in Camden City, New Jersey and other cities. The musicians made desperate attempts to organize their career, repeatedly coming to New York and offering their demos in "The Brill Building". But after countless refusals, "Dirty Martha" ceased to exist. Of all the band members in the music business, only Tony Papa remained, who spent the last 30 years in Los Angeles. But it was he who saved the demo recordings of the band, and only in 40 years, the music "Dirty Martha" was released! February 15, 2011 on "The Gear Fab Label" materials were published in CD format.
