Gold in You is a seven-track EP that Ball wrote and recorded over the past two years while her Juno-nominated indie rock band, Hey Ocean!, took a break from touring. Ball recorded it in Los Angeles with Grammy-nominated producer Ajay Bhattacharyya, a.k.a. Stint (Gallant, Santigold, NAO, AlunaGeorge). While the EP features a similar upbeat, sunny tone as her main band, musically the album sees the singer exploring her pop and R&B inclinations.
The first single from the EP, "Crazy," is a smooth, rhythmic number that showcases Ball's versatility as a singer. The song's video was shot in Vancouver's Pacific Spirit Regional Park and sees the singer playing with the idea of wanting to live two different lives at once.
